Another New Year

Well, hello again. Talking to my friend Tiffany made me post again. I just haven't used my time to post. We have had a trying end of last year with sickness, but we are getting through it. I have some new goals for this year and hope to meet and keep them.
The kids are all growing up fast, and I get so nervous as each day goes by. My main goal is a spiritual goal and with the kids growing so fast, I really want to make sure I am raising them right. I know I need to stay in my Bible daily and pray daily so I can correctly make decisions with my children. So if you think about it during your next prayer time, pray for me. I appreciate it.

what is new around here?

Well, we have a litter of boxer puppies, go to www.rockyridgeboxers.webs.com to check them out. They are four weeks old.
Also selling candles! I love burning candles. go to my site www.jackies.scent-team.com to view the site. Put your name in to win a free candle. The drawing is weekly so come back and put your name in each week.

School is almost over too... so then it is time to reorganize.

Well, gotta go.

The Sky

I am not very good taking pictures, I know someone who gave me a very nice pic he took with his camera with a verse across it as a graduation gift. If you have any ideas of verses for these feel free to let me know.
Sorry about the disorganized way the pics are on here, I did not quite know how to place them.
these pics were all taken around my house.
I like sky pictures, I am not sure why, I take a lot from the van window. These were all from a parked car except one the one where the sun was going down behind the trees, that was while we were driving (I was not driving).

A New Year/ New Beginnings

Well, this year I made some new resolutions, some that are the same every year, that I don't always follow through with. I am trying to read my kids a portion of scripture every day. Just because they can't read does not mean they don't need to have it read to them. We have done this in the past but it seems like in this busy day that is the first thing that goes, and the smallest children do without. So sad. So far so good though. Every day this month (I know it is only the sixth) we have read the Bible. And as soon as I say- guys come sit on the couch they get excited, are we gonna do devotions??? What a wonderful feeling, to have the kids excited to hear the Word.

I would love to tackle a new project this year, quilting, but might need some help. Need to talk to hubby to see if he can spare me one day a week or every two weeks and then talk to a good friend and see if she wants to join me in the new endevour... hint hint, wink wink Tiffany. I would really like to be crafty and I am not, so... plus I would love for the girls to join me if we actually do it.

Also, I have been getting up earlier so far every day this year, sounds funny (its the sixth) but it is a start, usually up by 6:30 (I know most people probably are, but I go to bed after midnight most nights). But that is definately with God's help (He gets the dogs to REALLY have to go out at that time). But I love it. I get to sit down and read my Bible and drink a cup of coffee (which I am only allowing myself one cup) before anyone wakes up. this is my ultimate goal, that way I can't let it go unforgotten.

I am still working on that meek and quiet spirit, which a person from Keepers Of The Faith has a forum and one of the "owners" does a Bible study on her forum and she said to find that meek and quiet spirit she read the Gospels and kept in mind the way Jesus handled situations, the way he spoke to people etc. and since he is our Ultimate example it will help to "see" how to be what we should. So that is where i started in my new years reading. Back to the Gospels under a different thought pattern.

Well, I better go, I am supposed to be working.

Well, Christmas is in 4 days. I have not started wrapping yet. That is the part I dread. I plan on going to my friend Tiffany's tonight if I can to help her with her gifts. What fun. We went out to eat again, just our two families. I feel like we have not gone out as a group in a while. We had fun.
The kids are getting ready for their Christmas play, learning lines, now practicing the hand bells. Little Brad has the red bell the last note of the one song. All of my boys except one (I think) have had that part, so this will be exciting. I love watching them.
I am bad at posting pictures, but we took some new ones of the kids so Ican make one of my Christmas presents for our moms. they are not formal christmas pics, but good enough for now. I am bad at doing pictures all together.
My family is coming up from Philly for Christmas, if they can shovel out.
Mom and I are going shopping tonight. she wants to get me a coat for Christmas. This should be fun.
Well, I better go... if I really want to be able to leave the hosue this afternoon, I have work to finish first.

New Clothes

Tiffany and I went clothes shopping on Monday. The two of us once again with nine kids. We will soon be pros at this. We all line up, Usually Tiffany in the front then a long line of kids then me in the back monitoring. I should take a pic of how that looks one of these times. Well, now that the kids are more used to all of us, Tiffany and I actually ventured to walk closer to each other with the kids in a line or holding a buddies hand. It worked out, nobody got lost, we all survived. These days end up being long for us and the kids. I know I am tired by the time we get home so I am sure the kids are exhausted.
We got Tiffany's Christmas shopping done (I think), and I got to go clothes shopping. A very exciting trip. I hate spending money on myself, especially with six growing kids, but it was definately needed. I have not bought myself new clothes in about 2 years, so I would say it was time. Tiffany helped me pick out 4 new outfits and I got a fifth shirt. This is good especially because most of the skirts and shirts will all match each other, so it does not have to be the same outfit each time I wear it. So it is like getting a lot of new outfits. And I saved between the 2 stores and their sales about $130!
I will have to post pictures sometime soon.
Well, gotta go,

Preaching

Just listened to Dr. Bill Behrens preach on anger. What a message. I liked it. He will be preaching in our church in January and I can't wait. A friend of mine was telling me about this message, and he was right, a good message. Something I needed to hear.
I am now listening to Chuck Cofty (I think this how it is spelled). He is funny.
I am also working, while listening, and I can't wait till this night is over. I am tired... but want to try and live what I heard preached.
I like listening to other preachers. I often listen to preachers while I am typing. It is very uplifting.
Well, I better get back to work.
